OUR STORY
About Us
Who We
Are.
Lighthouse is a relief and development agency working to support and assist Zimbabwe’s poorest and most needy communities regardless of race, creed or religion. The agency was established in 2014, and supports projects in all the ten provinces of Zimbabwe. We are also registered by the Zimbabwean Department of Social Service under the Private Voluntary Organisations Act (Chapter 17: 05).
By responding quickly to emergencies, Lighthouse provides relief to survivors of natural disasters and human-caused disasters (war, civil-strife, displacement). Lighthouse, provides assistance, support, and education to children and young adults in Zimbabwe affected by the HIV/AIDS epidemic, and strives to bring joy into their lives.
Lighthouse also undertakes long-term development projects on education and training, provision of clean water and healthcare, and re-establishing livelihoods to break cycles of endemic poverty. Through our work, we hope to foster peace and sustainable development solutions for the poor in impoverished communities
